Luke Goodwin

Luke Goodwin claims Tangata Tiriti status. He grew up and still lives in Te Oko Horoi, living in Whitehall area with his wife Kristin, three children and numerous animals. Formerly a history teacher, he is a stay-at-home dad. Part-time, he is studying some of the early contact period in the Waikato. 

Luke is also involved in Mana Hapori's Te Reo courses and wānanga. He has a passion for people to learn Te Reo Māori and a deep knowledge of our country's history.

Kia ora, 

I am not Māori.  My ancestors come from England, Ireland and Scotland but my parents were born here in Cambridge as was I.

I have lived under the shadow of Maungatautari and it has served as a constant reminder that I am home.  I walked the banks of the Waikato river as a child, swum in it as a teenager and I walk its banks again now as an adult.

Hilly Goodwin

Kia ora koutou, 

I'm Hilly Goodwin. I originally hail from the west coast of the USA but have lived in Cambridge on and off now for the last 20ish years. I consider Cambridge my home, my people and my community.

My husband, Richard, grew up here and we're now raising our two young boys here as well. We call Raleigh Street Christian Centre our home church where we actively connect with our church body and wider community.
