We run an eight-week introductory course in Te Reo Maaori. This course is a great way for individuals, friends, and workplaces to start their journey in learning Te Reo Maaori and Te Ao Maaori. The course is specifically developed for our area and includes stories of the local history.
We offer a comfortable, supportive and safe environment where you will learn correct pronunciation and a range of day to day phrases that can be used often.

Tuu Pakari means...
Stand strong and be determined in all that you do.
We run a women's group - open to all ages. We want women to feel confident, have a strong sense of community and participate within a place of encouragement.
Tuu Pakari is Te Ao Maaori focused. We will provide a culturally appropriate and strengths based space where the activities are designed to be enjoyable and fun.
Nau mai haere mai. Call in and have a cuppa, or get in touch with our facilitators - tumaia@manahapori.co.nz

Weather and seasons permitting, we gather together as a whaanau to have a Kaitahi.
We choose a park with a play area, a barbeque and a wharepaku and invite all the whaanau to bring what food they can so that we can have a shared meal.
Kaitahi for us is about connecting and taking the time to share kai, koorero and time with each other.
